Description

Job Description - Plan and conduct test and evaluation of non-intrusive inspection checkpoint screening technologies for CBRNE threat detection and defeat applications.
Duties - Develop test plans and evaluate COTS and custom designed Non Intrusive Inspection (NII) technologies against applicable specifications, standards and requirements.
Analyze results and prepare reports. Develop and review requirements and design of NII checkpoint systems including X-ray, millimeter wave, RF / wireless and related technologies in networked configurations for use in Homeland Protection applications. Develop, implement and document suitable CONOPS, interoperability and test scenarios for technologies under evaluation.


Requirements

Required - BS in Engineering or closely related discipline. Minimum of 3 years experience in Homeland Security applications related to Non Intrusive Inspection (NII) screening for Force Protection, Maritime, Aviation, Rail , Road and Container Security screening. Knowledge of NII technologies including X-ray, millimeter wave and RFID / wireless systems in complex topologies.

Experience with NII screening techniques and test methodologies using specialized equipment and facilities is a must. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include US citizenship.

Desired - MS or Ph.D in Engineering or closely related discipline and 5 years experience with Homeland Security applications related to Non Intrusive Inspection (NII) screening. Experience in evaluating equipment according to standards and regulations related to Personnel Screening Systems, X-ray and RF / Wireless technologies. Experience with implementation of complex sensor networks used in homeland protection scenarios particularly related to CBRNE and Checkpoint applications. Eligible for DOD clearance requiring background investigation and/or polygraph examination.
